Mike And Liz Peacock Wedding
I now have a temporary site up for weddings, www.brian-hall.net. It's nothing spectacular, but at least it's something for clients to go take a look at my work that does not have flickr in the name. I will be posting more tomorrow so check out the site, look through the gallery(ies (another one is coming soon)) and yeah, check it if you feel it.

Architecture Final Four.

The Fox Theatre of Atlanta.

This is my Architecture Final Four location, The Fox Theatre of Atlanta. I am so stoked to have this opportunity. It was a hard day of work, 11 sheets of chrome, 4 to 12 minute exposures, etc. etc. This is a digital shot, many wrongs (like blew out the overhead lanterns, not perfectly straight around, color a little off) But I like it none-the-less and hope the chromes come out nice. Thanks to Lindsey and Denise for all the help! 7+ hours of shooting like this is never easy. Also special thanks to Yoonhwa of the Restoration Department for being sooooo kind to escort us around the ENTIRE day. She's such a great person.

Trying It Out.

My Brother Matt.
Today, as I was driving home from the store and the clouds were so sick. I didn't want to miss this opportunity and I just received my Pocket Wizards so... HELLO! Perfect opportunity. So my brother and I went out to a local field to try out the new gear and get those clouds. I am stoked with the results and even more stoked with knowing what is to come with this set up. Check out my Flickr to see more.

In The Studio This Week.

This weekend we shot a couples portraits in the studio. Marc was supposed to have shot their wedding but complications came up which caused the wedding to be done on short notice so they wanted to at least have Marc shoot some portraits of themselves and their family and also a dinner party. Marc killed it and came out with some great images. The night was a very interesting but fun night. Oh, the life of a photographer.

Denise And Lindsey Day!

Denise and Lindsey: Classmates

I spent the Wednesday with two of my classmates/friends, Denise and Lindsey. I have never gotten to spend much time with them outside of school and I am really happy to have gotten to hang with them all day because they are some of the coolest gals I've ever met. It was a great day full of wanting to avoid Architecture and goof off, but we still killed it.

Goodbye Wolf Camera.

This past Saturday was my final day at Wolf Camera and our stores final day after being open for the past 20 years (that's as long as I have been alive). I have spent the last two years working there as a salesman/lab tech. There were days when I liked the job and days where I really did not, but over all it was a good experience. It really confirmed the fact that I could never be a salesman for the rest of my life, I don't enjoy it. I did however love helping customers who really wanted to learn photography. I was lucky to have caring co-workers who were pretty laid back. This was good, but now it's time for something new and right now that means really focusing on all the photo work I need to get done. So time to book it up!

Prego Mary Morris!

Mary Morris

"So, a maternity photo, to me, isn’t about the belly. It’s about the place in time of the woman who is pregnant." -Zack Arias. I completely agree with his statement. I'm not much of a maternity shooter. Although I did get some shots of her belly in the photos, I never really focused on just trying to show her actual belly but rather try and capture the joy of her life now while she is pregnant. That's my take on it, I don't think I'll be hit up for much maternity jobs in the future, but heck I'll take them if people like them! This is my friend Mary, she's very prego at the moment and will be due next month! She's a beautiful girl and will raise a beautiful gentleman and gentle man. I DO know this. More photos up on the Flickr.

OH! And my AlienBee/Vagabond II came today! Stoked! Pocket Wizards tomorrow.

Mike And Liz Peacock Wedding.

Mike And Liz Peacock Wedding

I posted some photos I shot from Mike and Liz's wedding from last April. It was a great day and we came out with some nice images that I really enjoy. I also announced underneath the photos the new wedding site/blog I will be putting up this month under www.brian-hall.net. It's not a big deal, but I just wanted to have a separate site since wedding photography doesn't fit too much with the work that will be posted on my www.brianhallphotography.net site this month as well. Go check these photos out on flickr.

OH! and my AlienBee, Vagabond II, AND POSSIBLY my Pocket Wizards are coming today! soooo stoked!

Alien Bees & Pocket Wizards.

So I finally did it and purchased an AlienBee B1600 with the Vagabond II Power Pack and 2 Pocket Wizard Transceivers. I have been learning a ton of new lighting techniques but also have a few of my own that I can't wait to try out. You will most likely see me everywhere in the next few weeks as I test out these babes on location. If you want to come out and join me DO IT! I don't mind sharing. I am really excited to see how my photography will grow in the next few weeks.
